FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything most people want to know about Living Art Studio before they buy. Don't see your question? Reach out from the asset's Unity Asset Store page.

What does Living Art Studio actually do?

It turns a flat 2D texture into animated artwork. You drop in your image, paint where each effect should appear, and the built-in GPU effects do the rest — fire, water, lightning, magic, sun rays, sheen, sparks, and more.

Everything plays live in the editor. No Play mode required, no Shader Graph wiring.

Which Unity versions are supported?

Unity 2021.3 LTS and newer. We test against the latest LTS and the current Unity 6 release.

Does it work with URP, HDRP, and the Built-in pipeline?

Yes — all three are supported. The package detects the active pipeline on import and brings in the right shader variants automatically.

Do I need Shader Graph or any other dependency?

No. Living Art Studio is self-contained. There is no Shader Graph requirement and no third-party packages to install.

Can I use this for 3D objects, or is it 2D only?

Living Art Studio is designed for 2D art — sprites, UI images, particle textures and 2D materials. It also works on any 3D mesh that uses a 2D texture (cards, banners, decals, props), though the painting workflow is optimized for flat surfaces.

Does it run on mobile and web (WebGL)?

Yes. Effects run entirely on the GPU and the cost is dominated by mask resolution, which you control. We've shipped to iOS, Android and WebGL with a comfortable frame budget.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is set on the Unity Asset Store and may include local taxes and seasonal sales. Check the live price on the Asset Store.

What's the license? Can I use it in commercial projects?

Living Art Studio is sold under the standard Unity Asset Store EULA. You can use it in commercial projects, both personal and team, on the seats covered by your purchase.

Is there a free trial?

The Unity Asset Store doesn't currently offer trials, but it does offer a refund window. See the Asset Store page for the latest refund policy and any active demos or sample scenes.

How do I get updates?

Updates ship through the Unity Package Manager. Open Window → Package Manager → My Assets, find Living Art Studio, and click Update when a new version is available.

What if the built-in effects aren't what I need?

Use Custom Flow channels. They let you paint your own motion as a vector field and feed it into UV distortion, color advection or any effect parameter. You stay in the same paint-driven workflow without writing shaders.

Where do I get support?

Most answers live in the Documentation. For anything else, post on the Asset Store discussion tab or use the contact details on the Asset Store page.
